Tried this for the first time (the mild). Was a BIG Jimmy Dean Fan for the better part of 40 years, but not any more. The taste is every bit as good as JD if not better.
It's lower in salt, has '0' carbs and no nitrites. I could go on, but just buy it, it's GOOD!

I’ve been eating Gunnoe’s since the mid 1960’s. Grew up with it. My favorite! I purchased it while living in the Lynchburg area and later when it became available in Northern VA where I moved.
Love the flavor and limited grease. I’ve now moved to TN. When traveling to VA ,I’ll buy and bring to TN. So glad I can now get via mail order. Nothing else compares to this flavor!

Still the best sausage out there. Perfect flavor, just enough sage. Reminds me of a sausage my mom fixed when we got sausage from a farm. Meaty, not greasy and great to eat any time of the day! Please dont change the rescipe. Been buying this sausage for at least 10 years and will keep buying it.

Ive bought Gunnoes breakfast sausage in the past and ordered some last week. Just fried up a batch and its still the best store bought breakfast sausage! Its meaty not greasy and has the best flavor that I remembered from a few years ago. I cooked the sage and original and its outstanding!! Please dont change anything. Shipping was fast and product packed well. I will be ordering more!

I have been getting Gunnoes for years and our Ruritan Club too. New owners took over and are terrific! The Taste of the sausage is still that wonderful Gunnoes flavor. So glad that the Recipe is still the same.

Great sausage, better customer service
Been a customer for years, but had an issue with a tube of sausage. I contacted customer service and they immediately responded, expressing their concern and replacing it with new sausage. Customer service and pride in their product is rare these days, so I was very pleased with my experience, and happy to say the replacement sausage was excellent.

The History of Gunnoe's Sausage
Gunnoe sausage has its roots in Charleston, WV at the country store run by James Earl Gunnoe. Gunnoe, an industrious hog farmer and store owner, made sausage in his store using his own special recipe. Word got out about Earl’s fresh, but uniquely flavorful recipe and folks came from all around the region to purchase the sausage.
After WW2, his son Raymond Gunnoe starting making Gunnoe’s Sausage and transporting it to the local stores and restaurants. Over the years the business expanded and people grew to love Gunnoe’s Sausage.
In 1965, Charles Dewey Gunnoe, who grew up on his fathers WV hog farm and delivered groceries off the back of his pony as a young boy, moved to Bedford County, VA and began making Gunnoe’s Sausage in Virginia. Dewey, his wife Fern, and his children Cynthia, Craig, and Chad built the sausage business to where Gunnoe’s Sausage is now available throughout the mid-atlantic.
In 2022, Logan’s Sausage, also a Virginia family-owned and operated company, took over the production and distribution of Gunnoe’s Sausage. The Logan family plans to honor Gunnoe’s rich legacy by continuing to supply the most delicious and highest quality country sausage to their customers.
